Austin Country Club History

Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived, Texas Golf Hall of Fame member Harvey Penick. A private, family-orientated club rich in tradition, known for the quality of its membership and for service that exceeds expectations.

Austin Country Club is located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as its backdrop. The property spans over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, 10 miles west of downtown Austin.
